Event Details

Over the last year, there's been a lot of hype surrounding HTML5 and Flash. While two companies fight a turf war, web developers need to know which technology is the best choice for the challenges we face every day.

Through a series of demonstrations, we'll attempt to gauge the relative strengths of each technology in stiuations that we're likely to face in our day-to-day work. As we present these demos, we'll be actively encouraging LWS members to share their experiences and insights.

General Release tickets will be made available at 1pm on Friday, 4 June 2010.

London Web Standards

London Web Standards brings together web professionals who are working for a better web. Our monthly meetups provide them with an opportunity to teach, inspire, learn, network and debate.

Each meetup features a speaker drawn from our membership or the wider standards community. The talks cover a range of topics including HTML5, JavaScript, YQL, accessibility, web fonts, UX and front-end performance.

Come along, drink some beer (or your beverage of choice) and exchange ideas with other web developers, designers and professionals who are as passionate about the web as you are.
